Your school will partner with Connect ‘n’ Grow® to deliver our programs. Along with our services, we also offer a Teacher Accelerated Program (TAP). This allows schools like yours to benefit from the upskilling we provide teachers with. CnG ensures that students receive only the best training. More information can be found here.

**The HLT23215 Certificate II in Health Support Services and CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services is completed as a dual qualification.

*HLT23215 Certificate II in Health Support Services is a Vocational Education & Training in Schools funded by the Queensland Government. Vocational Education and Training in Schools is the delivery of nationally recognised qualifications to school students and is funded by the Queensland Government VET investment budget and is fee-free for students.

HLTAID003 Provide First Aid

This unit is completed within the qualification HLT23215 Certificate II in Health Support Services.

HLTAID001 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation

This unit is completed within the qualification HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance.

Students who are completing CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services can complete this unit as a stand alone. The fee for service charge is $75.00.

Our Qualification courses are industry-standard, practical and nationally recognized. At CnG, we also provide discounts to schools that deliver more than one course. These dual-qualifications will count as one program, however.

Health Teaching Kit

Your school will need to purchase an initial health kit prior to commencing Connect ‘n’ Grow® programs.  An itemised list of essential items will be sent to the Program Manager. Depending on the total number of enrolments, your school may be eligible to receive a subsidy toward the purchase of your initial health kit.

Certificate 3 Guarantee Co-contribution Fees

The Certificate 3 Guarantee Program is funded by the Queensland Government and provides government subsidy support to eligible students to complete their first post-school certificate III qualification. Co-contributions fees are required to be made for individuals who do not fall into the category of ‘Free tafe for Year 12 graduates’.

To be eligible to enrol in the Certificate 3 Guarantee program, prospective students must:

  • not hold, and not be enrolled in, a certificate III or higher-level qualification (Certificate III qualifications completed at school and foundation skills training are not counted);
  • be a Queensland resident aged 15 years or older;
  • be no longer at school
  • be an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident (includes humanitarian entrant), temporary resident with the necessary visa and work permits on the pathway to permanent residency, or a New Zealand citizen

A co-contribution fee for concessional and non-concessional students is required to be paid to contribute to the costs of the training. Fees can vary and depend on individual circumstances and include opportunities for Recognition of Prior Learning and Credit Transfers. Confirmation of specific fees to be charged is provided prior to enrolment.

The following Connect ‘n’ Grow® qualifications are funded under the Certificate 3 Guarantee:

  • HLT23215 Certificate II in Health Support Services
  • CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services
  • HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance
  • CHC32015 Certificate III in Community Services

Fee-free training for year 12 graduates

Students who are Queensland residents and have just finished year 12 may be eligible to study fee free if they enrol within 12 months of completing year 12.  To be eligible the following criteria must be met:

  • Hold a Senior Statement issued by the Queensland Studies Authority or the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority or equivalent;
  • Enrol in by the end of the calendar year following their completion of year 12; and

Live permanently in Queensland

  • the student holds a Health Care or Pensioner Concession card issued under Commonwealth law, or is the partner or a dependant of a person who holds a Health Care or Pensioner Concession card and is named on the card; or
  • the student can provide an official form under Commonwealth law confirming that the student, their partner or the person of whom the student is a dependant, is entitled to concessions under a Health Care or Pensioner Concession card; or
  • the student identifies as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander;
  • the student has a disability; or
  • the student is an adult prisoner.
