Course Overview

This qualification reflects the role of a variety of workers who use a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge to provide assistance to health professional staff for the care of clients. Elective units have been selected from Health, Community Service and Business Training Packages to be contextualised into a Secondary School environment. Students will gain a range of entry level skills that will enhance their ability to gain employment within the health industry.

Year 1
Students complete HLT23215 Certificate II in Health Support Services + CHC22015 Certificate II in Community Services in Year 1 and Credit Transfer units of competency to satisfy packaging rules outlined for this qualification.

VET in School model

  • VET in Schools program – Third Party Arrangements with Secondary Schools across Australia
  • Training and Assessment will be conducted at the school’s Health Training Centre
  • A work placement within a health organisation is highly recommended
