With hands-on training, real-world experience, and nationally recognized qualifications, our School-Based Traineeships provide a unique opportunity for students to gain valuable skills and knowledge while still in school. HLT23221 – Certificate II in Health Support Services:

29th January 2024 – 21st June 2024

Certificate III Traineeship:

8th July 2024 – 13th July 2025

Course delivery

In Year 11, Students will complete HLT232215 Certificate II in Health Support Services.

Connect n Grow to deliver training at a Health Hub one day a week.

July 2024 – July 2025

School-based Traineeship begins
Trainees attend the workplace one day per week.

Trainee must complete on average 7.5 hours per week (375 hours, 50 days). Trainee to undertake studies in the HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistances.

Combination of on the job learning, classroom and online delivery.

Locations

Throughout South-East Queensland, Bundaberg to the Gold Coast.

You will gain the skills and knowledge to work in the following fields:

Does this count towards my Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)?

Yes, completing a school-based traineeship in Queensland can count towards your Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE). Do I get paid as a School-based trainee?

Yes, as a school-based trainee in the Health sector in Queensland, you are entitled to be paid for the work you perform as part of your traineeship. The pay you receive will depend on factors such as the industry, your age, and the level of qualification you are undertaking. The pay rates for school-based trainees are typically based on the relevant modern award or enterprise agreement that covers the industry. It’s important to note that the pay rates may vary, so it’s recommended to consult with your employer or relevant authorities to understand the specific wage conditions and entitlements applicable to your traineeship in the Health sector.

What extra support is available as a First Nation’s trainee?

As a First Nations trainee you will also be provided with additional wrap around support from Seed Foundation Australia. You can expect to receive additional support and resources tailored to your cultural background and specific needs. Seed Foundation Australia is dedicated to supporting Indigenous youth in their education and career journeys.

What happens if I need to relocate, can I transfer my traineeship?

Please contact our Head Office if you are considering relocating, we will look at options available for you to transfer your traineeships if possible.
