The Certificate III in Health Services Assistance is a one-year program that can be completed alongside regular secondary school studies on 1-timetabled line of study (3 x 70 minutes per week).
During the program, students will learn essential skills and knowledge in health services assistance, including communication, infection control, and assisting with client care and cover on the following topics:
Recognise healthy body systems
Interpret medical terminology
Providing individualised support
Maintain a high standard of service
Facilitating responsible behaviour
Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Cultural Safety
Yes, students will be required to complete assessments throughout the program to demonstrate their understanding and competency in the health support services field. Assessment types include:
